Richard Thompson is the author of Big Wheat: A Tale of Bindlestiffs and Blood, the 2012 Minnesota Book Award Winner for Genre Fiction, a historical mystery set in post-World War I North Dakota. He also writes the Herman Jackson mysteries, including Fiddle Game and Frag Box, which was a finalist for the Minnesota Book Award in 2010. He is a former civil engineer and construction manager who traded his hard hat for a laptop and now writes full time.
He will visit Rum River Library on Saturday, February 16th, beginning at 2:00 pm, to speak about his books and answer brief questions from library visitors. Books will be available for purchase, and seating is limited.
