Winter Reads Author Series- P. J. Tracy

P.J. Tracy is the pseudonym of mother-daughter writing duo P.J. and Traci Lambrecht, authors of the bestselling Monkeewrench mystery series. PJ was a long-time resident of Minnesota until her death in December 2016.  Traci remains in rural Minnesota, just outside Minneapolis, and continues writing about the Monkeewrench gang. Nothing Stays Buried, the latest installment, was published in August, 2017. Program is free but seating may be limited. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Jim Walsh, a former City Pages music editor, and award-winning columnist for the Saint Paul Pioneer Press, writes about music and local culture. He is the author of Gold Experience: Following Prince in the '90s published in 2017 by the University of Minnesota Press. Radio host, Andrea Swensson from 89.3, The Current, writes "Walsh's words don't just sing and dance, they do the splits. It's easy to envision Prince himself cracking a smile and leaping up to sing along." Program is free but seating may be limited. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Bao Phi, a poet since 1991, is a two-time Minnesota Grand Slam champion, finalist of the National Poetry Slam, and the program director of the Loft . He also performs across the country and remains active as an Asian American community organizer. In 2017, Coffee House Press published his second collection of poems, Thousand Star Hotel, and Capstone Press published his first children’s book, A Different Pond, illustrated by Thi Bui, both to rave reviews.
